Compton’s rising artist Siete7x continues to elevate at a rapid pace, and with his new project Misunderstood on the horizon, the momentum around his name has never been stronger. But the path to this moment is one built on resilience, consistency , and a story that began long before the spotlight.
For Siete7x, childhood in Compton, California was filled with good and bad times, community, and endless energy. He remembers it as “real fun,” spending his days outside with friends, playing every sport he could, and soaking in the environment around him. With a large family and siblings spread out across different places, Compton became his anchor.
Music was part of his life long before he ever considered becoming an artist. As a kid, he played drums in church, always keeping a drum set close by. He was drawn to old-school and soulful music, sounds that would later seep into the core of his style—smooth, emotional, and melodic.
His journey as an artist began unexpectedly. After losing a close friend, Siete7x created a tribute track—something raw, real, and from the heart. He didn’t expect much from it, but the reaction was immediate. Everyone in his neighborhood played it, shared it, and connected to the emotion he delivered. That moment sparked something in him.
A major part of his early development was thanks to Joe Coolie, who opened his home studio to Siete7x nearly every day. That access gave him space to build, experiment, and grow without limits. The more he recorded, the deeper he fell into the craft.
Siete7x began heavily rooted in hip-hop rap, channeling his environment and experiences. But as he spent more time in the studio, he leaned into the melodic side of his voice—something natural, soulful, and reflective of the music he grew up on. That shift became the turning point in his artistry, helping him stand out and build a growing fanbase.
Balancing life in the studio with the realities he faced in the streets wasn’t always easy. But his dedication never shook. He remained consistent, committed, and willing to put in the work to polish his talent.
Along his journey, two key figures played a major role in his development: RJ and his manager Lemmie Lams. Both saw his potential early on and continued to push him, support him, and believe in him even during times when he struggled to see that potential himself. Their influence helped guide him to the level he stands at today.
Everything shifted when Siete7x appeared on Kendrick Lamar’s latest album GNX, contributing to Track 8, “Dodger Blue.” The moment was massive—not only did it introduce him to a global audience, but the album has since been nominated for a Grammy, shining an even brighter light on his voice and versatility.
That feature became a career-shaping milestone, setting the stage for what would come next.
Now standing at the beginning of a new era, Siete7x releases Misunderstood—a 14-track project that blends emotion, storytelling, and West Coast energy in a way only he can deliver. The project includes standout contributions from RJMrLA, Lil Bean, Big Sad 1900, 310babii, BMG Dmack, BlueBucksClan, and Reech.FrFr, reflecting both his growth and the respect he’s earned from the industry.
