It wasn’t until he turned twenty that songwriting became more than a hobby—it became a craft he committed himself to and a vehicle for telling his truth.
His musical influences run deep and wide. Instead of drawing from one artist or one era, he grew up exploring nearly every corner of the musical map. One day it might be ’90s hip-hop, the next it could be early 2000s pop or R&B, and sometimes it’s rock or alternative. That versatility shaped his ear, his style, and the smooth-but-confident tone he’s now known for. His music bends genres without forcing itself into any one lane.
Most of his recording happens at Repercussion Studios in Philly, where he works closely with an engineer friend who understands his sound. But E. MaSanvi isn’t bound to one room or one city—he records at home, and he records wherever he travels if the energy feels right and the space helps him bring his ideas to life.
