Rising out of Jacksonville, Florida, GMY VILLE is building his name through real-life stories, street perspective, and music that reflects both struggle and ambition. Born and raised in Jacksonville, he describes his upbringing as regular despite the many narratives people create about the city. While he admits Jacksonville can be a treacherous environment, he learned early that surviving meant staying out of the way, keeping his nose clean, and remaining focused on his goals.
As a kid, life revolved around sports, especially football. Some of his best memories came from spending entire days outside playing football with friends, enjoying the freedom of childhood before real responsibilities began to set in. But as he got older, reality hit fast. By the age of 14, he had already started hustling to make money and help create opportunities for himself. Those experiences would later become the foundation of his music.
His passion for music started early during middle school, when he first began recording and experimenting with his sound. Over time, music became more than just a hobby. It became a way to tell his story, motivate others, and speak for people going through similar struggles. His main motivation has always been bigger than fame. He wants to inspire the youth, provide for the people he loves, and show others that setbacks and roadblocks do not have to define your future.
GMY VILLE has continued to build momentum with every release. From his 2024 project Lost Files to his latest album Bad Bitches Love Trap N**S, he has consistently been making noise and growing his audience. Records like “Stickey,” “Parking Lot,” “Bout 2 Bubble,” and “Hot Spot” have helped showcase his energy, versatility, and raw storytelling ability.
His newest project, Bad Bitches Love Trap N**S, features nine tracks and includes a guest appearance from Black Queen. The project continues to highlight GMY VILLE’s authentic approach to music while giving listeners a deeper look into his journey, mindset, and lifestyle. As he continues pushing forward, GMY VILLE represents a new wave of Jacksonville artists turning real-life experiences into music that connects with people everywhere.
