From Arizona to Wisconsin: The Journey of Mcm Kilo

Growing up in Glendale, Arizona, Mcm Kilo learned early that life wasn’t always generous. Much of his childhood was shaped by having to find his own way, learning through experience, and pushing through constant setbacks. Even with bad luck seeming to follow him from the start, he carried himself with an outgoing spirit and a genuine heart. By his own words, anyone who knows him knows he has a heart of gold.

Music was always present in his life, even if becoming an artist wasn’t part of the original plan. As a kid, he simply loved listening to music. His playlist reflected a wide range of sounds and influences, from Britney Spears and Kesha to 2 ChainzWiz KhalifaKendrick LamarJeezyAkonMichael Jackson, and Lil Wayne. That mix of pop, rap, melody, and energy helped shape the creative foundation he would later build on.

Everything changed in his early teenage years. Trauma hit hard, and a major move shifted his world completely. He went from the hot summer days of Phoenix to the cold winters of the Midwest, now residing in Wisconsin. That transition brought challenges, but it also brought clarity.

At 15 years old, Mcm Kilo started making music. What first pulled him in wasn’t just the sound—it was everything behind it. He became fascinated by sound design, acoustic padding, studio equipment, and the creative process itself. That curiosity quickly turned into action. He plugged in, started learning the software, and never looked back.

Now at 24, Mcm Kilo sees his journey with more perspective. Time has passed, and one of his biggest battles has been overcoming procrastination. But the hunger is still there. The fire never left. He knows it’s time to break through that door.

When describing his sound, Mcm Kilo calls it a captivating feeling of high vibrations—comedic at times, but always raw. It’s music meant to hit you in the gut and make you feel something real. His track “Go 2 War” captures that energy, delivering an experience that feels personal, intense, and relatable.

Most of his music is recorded in spaces where he feels comfortable, usually at home or around artists he genuinely trusts. For him, the best records come from working with good friends who take music just as seriously as he does. That chemistry helps create the strongest results.

These days, with Arizona no longer being his everyday environment, his local hangout spots are in Wisconsin. In Appleton, one spot he enjoys is Bunnies on the Ave, known as a lively place to unwind. He also spends time around Green Bay’s bar and club scene, though he makes it clear he doesn’t spend all his time outside.

Mcm Kilo’s recent releases continue showing his range. His latest single, “No Bms,” is a hard-hitting, aggressive, high-energy record packed with intensity and personality. Alongside that, he recently dropped the music video for “Backbone,” featuring s8flav—a turnt club banger built for all events and occasions.

Looking ahead, Mcm Kilo has plenty on the way. New music, visuals, collaborations, videos, and live shows are all in motion, though he’s keeping the details close for now.

Above everything, he gives credit where it matters most. Mcm Kilo gives thanks to God, saying none of this would be possible without Him. He also shows love to the people who helped shape him—his father, his mother, and his brothers. As his journey continues, one thing is clear: Mcm Kilo is moving with purpose, and he’s only getting started.
