Straight Out of Summerhill: The Story Behind Nuke2Stiff

Growing up in Summerhill, Atlanta, Nuke2Stiff experienced life in one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, a place known for its deep roots and authentic Atlanta culture. Despite the changes brought by gentrification, Summerhill continues to hold onto the identity that has shaped generations. Coming up in the neighborhood, Nuke2Stiff witnessed the struggles of everyday life firsthand, experiences that would eventually become the foundation of his music.

For Nuke2Stiff, life has been about more than just finding his way through the streets. Becoming a father to three children changed his outlook completely. He describes his younger self as wild, but fatherhood gave him a new sense of responsibility and a reason to move differently. With three children depending on him, his focus shifted toward building a better future for his family and creating something they could be proud of.

Although he had been making music for some time, Nuke2Stiff began taking his career seriously in 2024. Atlanta rapper Bloody Jay played an important role in that decision, recognizing his talent early and encouraging him to spend more time in the studio and develop his craft. That encouragement helped push Nuke2Stiff toward taking his potential more seriously and approaching music with a professional mindset.

Another major influence on his journey was his late brother, Butter B. After losing his brother, Nuke2Stiff stepped away from music for a period as he dealt with the loss. Eventually, he found his way back to the studio, motivated by the belief they shared in his potential. That loss became part of the inspiration behind his project, The Hood’s Last Hope, turning a difficult chapter of his life into another reason to keep pushing forward.

Authenticity remains at the center of Nuke2Stiff’s music. Rather than creating stories he hasn’t lived, he draws inspiration from his upbringing, the people around him, and the struggles he has witnessed throughout his life. Records like “Locked In,” “Murder She Wrote,” “Regular Day,” and more reflect his growing catalog as he continues to develop his sound and share his perspective with listeners.

Now, Nuke2Stiff continues to move forward with his latest release, “Fetish,” available on all streaming platforms. With Summerhill behind him, fatherhood driving him, and the memory of his brother continuing to inspire him, Nuke2Stiff is focused on turning his experiences into something lasting while building his own place in Atlanta’s music scene.
