Nicole Rose: From the Step Team to Finding Her Voice in Music

Emerging from Los Angeles, Nicole Rose is bringing her own energy to the city’s hip-hop scene with a sound rooted in L.A. culture, club hip-hop, and ratchet music. Before stepping into music, she was involved in the Crenshaw Arts step team and worked as an Eastside step coach, experiences that helped shape her connection to performance and expression.

At 25, Nicole Rose began making music, drawing inspiration from influential female artists like Lil’ Kim and Eve. Their impact helped lay the foundation for her own creative direction as she developed a sound that reflects her personality and the city she represents.

Having spent time in Leimert Park, Nicole remains connected to the culture and community that make Los Angeles unique. Now recording her music at Fifth Level Records, she continues to build her name while bringing her own flavor to the West Coast sound.

Her recent release, Summer Has Rose, gives listeners a look into what she has been creating, with more music on the way. As she prepares to release her upcoming single, Nicole Rose is continuing to build momentum and establish her place in the music scene.

With her L.A. roots, club-ready sound, and influences from some of hip-hop’s most recognizable women, Nicole Rose is an artist to keep an eye on as she continues to grow and make her presence felt.
