Growing up on Roosevelt Island in New York, C. DIGGZ’E developed a love for music at an early age. By the time he was 12 years old, he had already started making music of his own, turning the sounds he grew up listening to into the foundation for his own creative journey.
His early influences included some of hip-hop’s most recognizable names, including Nas, JAY-Z, Stack Bundles, and Ludacris. Watching television and listening to the music around him helped shape his taste, with the East Coast hip-hop sound of the early 2000s leaving a lasting impression on his style.
Outside of music, C. DIGGZ’E spent much of his youth hanging out at Story Park through the PAL program and Rose Valley through the Beacon program. Those experiences were part of his upbringing in New York, helping shape the memories and environment behind the artist he is today.
As he continued developing his sound, C. DIGGZ’E found ways to create music with the resources available to him. Much of his released material was recorded at home on his laptop using Mixcraft, showing that his passion for music never depended on having access to a professional studio. He continued working with what he had, building his catalog and developing his own approach along the way.
Now, C. DIGGZ’E is preparing for his next chapter with an upcoming album titled Liberty Product, which he has targeted for a late-February release. As he continues moving forward, he also recognizes the family members who have supported him, giving special acknowledgment to his sisters and Uncle Jay, along with the artists he admired growing up.
With roots in Roosevelt Island and a sound influenced by the golden era of early 2000s East Coast hip-hop, C. DIGGZ’E continues to build on the foundation that first inspired him to make music at just 12 years old. As he prepares to introduce Liberty Product, he looks to bring more of his journey to listeners while continuing to develop his place in the music scene.
