A New Voice From Hollister: Yung Glxtch’s Steady Climb

At just 20 years old, Yung Glxtch represents a new kind of artist coming out of Hollister, California—one shaped by discipline, community, and consistency rather than shortcuts. His journey with music started early. At eight years old, he was already creating. By thirteen, he was posting freestyles on Instagram, putting his voice out into the world before most kids even knew what direction they wanted to go in.

What separates Yung Glxtch from many artists is how early he understood responsibility and purpose. From ages 14 to 17, he worked under the Latizmo dance company in San Jose, teaching kids and adults with special needs how to write and perform rap music. That experience wasn’t about exposure or credit—it was about using music as a tool to connect, build confidence, and give others a voice. That foundation still shows in how he approaches his career today.

In May 2025, Yung Glxtch released his first full project, HOLLISTER PRODIGY, a title that matched both his roots and his work ethic. That same summer, he independently launched his first tour across the 831–408 area, fully self-produced and self-driven. No major backing, no shortcuts—just movement built from the ground up.

His momentum continued to grow in 2025 as he shared stages with artists like Rucci, Vinny West, and Baby Gas. The year also marked a major milestone when Yung Glxtch became the first rapper in history to perform at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on October 4th, 2025. It wasn’t a viral moment—it was a earned one.

His most recent release, “LA FUNCIÓN” featuring Ben Havn, shows a confident artist who understands his sound and his audience. As a self-producing artist, Glxtch stays hands-on with his music, ensuring every record reflects who he is and where he’s from. That authenticity has earned him recognition from producers and artists such as Fangaz, Kwon Brady, Rico 2 Smoove, Baby Gas, Ben Havn, and even Bizarre of D12—respect that doesn’t come lightly.

Looking ahead, Yung Glxtch is set to return to the Whisky A Go Go stage on May 3rd for a pre–Cinco de Mayo weekend performance alongside country artist Creed Fisher, showing his willingness to cross genres and audiences without losing himself. A second project is already in the works, signaling that this phase of his career is just the beginning.

Influenced by artists like Ice Cube, Tech N9ne, Kendrick Lamar, Russ, and 1nonly, Yung Glxtch blends sharp delivery with honesty and control. But his biggest motivation goes beyond music. Family, loyal supporters, and the need to create a space where people feel included, inspired, and supported continue to drive everything he does.

His message stays simple: have fun and be yourself. And in an industry that often rewards imitation, Yung Glxtch’s commitment to authenticity might be his strongest statement yet.
