Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, New York, BOREYUNLIMITED grew up surrounded by the energy that makes New York what it is. From playing sports and getting into trouble to spending time in the streets and finding his own way, his upbringing helped shape the person and creator he is today.
Music was always around him, but creativity went beyond music. BOREYUNLIMITED says he was naturally born a creator, and that mindset made hustling, creating and making a name for himself feel natural from an early age.
He didn’t begin seriously making music until 2019, after college. The lifestyle he was living placed him around music more, and being in that environment gave him the opportunity to finally explore something he had always loved.
His influences stretch across generations. Growing up, he listened to Michael Jackson, James Brown, Whitney Houston, Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., 50 Cent and Future. As his taste developed, artists like Drake, Nipsey Hussle and PARTYNEXTDOOR also became part of his musical world.
What connected him to those artists wasn’t simply the music. He looked at them as people he could become.
Seeing artists turn their creativity, experiences and individuality into something bigger inspired BOREYUNLIMITED to believe he could do the same.
Music also runs through his family. His uncle made beats and worked with Busta Rhymes, while his cousin, Positive K, is a respected figure in the music industry. Having that connection to music within his own family gave him another perspective on what was possible.
For BOREYUNLIMITED, the goal has never been to sound like anyone else.
He describes his sound as futuristic, lyrical and timeless—three qualities that reflect how he approaches his music. He’s focused on creating something that can feel current while still having enough substance to last.
For the past year, he’s been recording at Multi-Soundstudios with his boy Turb, while continuing to meet new people and build new relationships through music.
But the studio isn’t the only place where his creativity comes from.
New York itself has been part of his creative process. BOREYUNLIMITED spent plenty of time in the streets, staying outside and experiencing the city firsthand. He’s also a clothing creator, and that connection to fashion and being outside continues to influence the artist he is becoming.
His latest release, “BLUE DREAM,” carries a piece of his musical history with it. The track is a flip of DaniLeigh’s “Blue Chips,” originally made by his engineer back in 2019. In many ways, the record takes him back to the beginning because it was one of the first tracks he ever made.
Now, he’s taking those early beginnings and building toward something bigger.
