Los Angeles has always been a breeding ground for originality, and few artists embody that spirit quite like TeeFLii. Known for his raw blend of street emotion and smooth R&B, TeeFLii has built a career defined by authenticity, evolution, and resilience. Now, with the release of his latest album Lamont, the South Central native reintroduces himself to the world—wiser, more introspective, and as soulful as ever.
Raised in South Central Los Angeles, TeeFLii’s musical journey started early. Coming from a deeply musical family—his grandmother a gospel singer and his aunt a member of Elvis Presley’s legendary Sweet Inspirations—music ran through his veins. He learned to play multiple instruments in church, where his grandfather served as pastor, and those early experiences would shape both his faith and his artistry.
TeeFLii’s rise began in the early 2010s with a string of mixtapes that became local sensations. His AnNieRuO’TAY series and projects like Fireworks (with DJ Mustard) showcased his distinctive “Fly’n’B” sound—a mix of smooth R&B melodies and unapologetically raw street energy.
After years of growth, reflection, and independence, TeeFLii returned in 2025 with Lamont—a project that feels like both a homecoming and a rebirth. Released through his imprint Tear It Off Records, the 16-track album spans over an hour of deeply personal storytelling, featuring collaborations with artists like G Perico and Fee.
Songs such as “Westside,” “Uncomfortable,” and “Little Things” reveal an artist at his most vulnerable, exploring love, struggle, and self-awareness. The title itself, Lamont, feels like a declaration of identity—a moment for TeeFLii to strip back the layers of fame and reintroduce the man behind the music.
“This album is me,” TeeFLii shared in a recent interview. “No gimmicks, no filters—just Lamont. Everything I’ve been through, every lesson I’ve learned, it’s all in here.”
