Hailing from Lumberton, North Carolina, ABE STEF’s story is rooted in real-life experiences that shaped both his character and his sound. Raised in a single-parent household, he was exposed to the pressures of his environment early on. What started as a childhood filled with sports and structure eventually shifted as life pulled him in a different direction.
Growing up, ABE STEF spent his early years playing baseball, but by high school, his path changed. He stepped away from the field and found himself caught up in the streets—surrounded by fighting, tough decisions, and gang affiliations. Those experiences would later become the foundation of the music he creates today.
Music, however, had always been part of his life. He started making music at just eight years old, developing his creativity long before stepping into a professional studio for the first time at 16. Coming up during the rise of drill music, he drew early inspiration from artists like Lil Durk and Chief Keef, influences that can still be felt in his delivery and energy.
ABE STEF’s sound is built on melody, honesty, and storytelling. He blends real-life experiences with emotion, creating music that reflects both where he’s been and where he’s headed. Most of his recordings take place at Artist Mill International, where he continues to sharpen his craft and bring his vision to life.
Outside of music, some of his earliest memories come from weekends spent at Mr. Pz Skateworld in his hometown—a place that offered a break from reality and a sense of community during his younger years.
Now, ABE STEF is stepping into a new chapter. On March 13, 2026, he released his latest EP, M.I.A, marking another milestone in his journey. Alongside the project, he dropped the official video for his leading single, “Timeline,” now available on YouTube.
With a story shaped by adversity and a sound grounded in truth, ABE STEF continues to turn his life experiences into music that connects, reflects, and resonates.
