From the Skate Park to Sold-Out Show’s — The IE Superstar “Radio Base”

Emerging from Moreno Valley, California, Radio Base has long been a defining voice of the Inland Empire. Known for his hit songs “Bless The Bottle,” “Gimme the Light,” “Demon Time,” and “Wet The Bed,” the IE native built his career from the ground up, embodying both creativity and self-made independence.

Radio Base first caught attention in the early 2010s, generating a strong local buzz between 2010 and 2015. Originally a member of the group Mike Mobb, he later branched out to form his own collective, Base Boys, setting the tone for the movement that would follow. Even before rap became his main focus, Radio Base had a deep passion for skateboarding—a lifestyle and culture that often bled into his music. Songs like “I Get Around” and his involvement with The Brettics movement reflected his ability to blend skate culture with street energy in a way that was uniquely his own.

While many artists relied on labels or venues for exposure, Radio Base took a different approach. He began throwing his own parties, often packing out venues with hundreds—sometimes thousands—of people, all there to see him perform. These events became more than just shows; they were community gatherings, a celebration of Inland Empire culture, and proof of Radio Base’s ability to turn vision into movement.

Now recognized as a staple of the Inland Empire music scene, Radio Base’s influence continues to ripple through Southern California’s underground and mainstream alike. His latest project, Water Boy 2, showcases his evolution as an artist while staying true to the energy that made him a hometown hero.

Available now on all streaming platforms, Water Boy 2 cements Radio Base’s legacy — a story of passion, independence, and relentless hustle that continues to inspire a new generation of IE artists.
