Emerging from South Central Los Angeles, InFamous Moon is part of a new generation of artists turning real-life experiences into raw, honest music. His journey didn’t begin in a professional studio or with expensive equipment—it started in a closet, with a phone, a vision, and something to say.
Moon began making music in 2020 at just 16 years old. Recording through GarageBand on his phone, he built his sound in the most stripped-down way possible, moving between his mom’s and dad’s houses and creating alongside his siblings. Those early sessions weren’t polished, but they were real—and that authenticity still defines his music today.
Growing up in South Central Los Angeles meant being surrounded by environments where violence and conflict were never too far away. Still, his family made sure he stayed focused and moved with purpose. With strong guidance from his father and support system, Moon managed to stay in his own lane while navigating the realities around him. Known in his neighborhood and at school, he used his presence to build a name for himself—without getting pulled into the distractions that often come with it.
Rather than spending time in crowded or popular hangout spots, Moon kept his circle tight. Whether he was with his siblings or close friends like Symphony, Geno MarMar, Kezy, and Poppa2Kold, most days were spent in apartment complexes, creating memories and building bonds that would later influence his music.
As his passion grew, so did his sound. What started in a closet evolved into recording at house studios, eventually leading him to more professional environments. During the pandemic, he was introduced to Glass House Studios—a turning point that helped sharpen his craft. Today, he records at established spaces like Studio1920 and Grove Studios, continuing to elevate his artistry with every session.
Musically, InFamous Moon blends melodic rap, emotional street rap, and elements of Trap R&B. His calm, controlled voice contrasts with the depth of his lyrics, creating a sound that feels both reflective and powerful. He speaks on pain, love, betrayal, growth, and loss—drawing heavily from personal experiences, including the passing of his sister. That loss, in particular, adds a deeper layer to his storytelling, giving his music an emotional weight that resonates.
His latest single, “Writing’s On The Wall,” is a clear example of his evolution. With an official video available on YouTube, the release captures his ability to translate real-life struggles into music that connects.
