ThaKayder’s story begins in Southcrest, San Diego. Growing up he learned to navigate real-life lessons early—absorbing the culture, the energy, and the raw experiences that later shaped both his character and his music. It wasn’t just where he lived; it was the way he paid attention. That early understanding of people and surroundings became the foundation of his voice as an artist.
His connection to music sparked young. By the age of nine, ThaKayder was already experimenting with sound, rhythm, and self-expression. What started as curiosity quickly became a calling. Influenced by icons like 2Pac, E-40, Mitchy Slick, Damu, Luni Coleon, Young Jeezy, and Jay-Z, he studied the greats and absorbed their lessons—storytelling, hustle, perspective, and longevity. Those inspirations helped mold his own direction, but his sound has always stayed uniquely his.
If he had to describe that sound, he keeps it simple: “Organic. Non-GMO. No synthetics.” ThaKayder creates from real experiences, not formulas. His music is unprocessed, authentic, and rooted in truth. It’s the result of long nights spent recording in his bedroom studio, a place where he held full control over his creativity and learned how to craft his identity without outside noise.
A major influence on his artistic development came in the early 2000s at a studio known as the Hank Factory. More than a workspace, it was a hub of talent, energy, and inspiration. Those sessions became a defining time for him, shaping the way he sees music and sharpening the intention behind every track he makes.
Now based in Phoenix, Arizona, ThaKayder continues to grow while staying true to his origins. His newest release, the Seeds & Trophies EP, represents everything he stands for. It’s about planting the right seeds—time, effort, honesty—and eventually earning the trophies that come from staying solid and consistent. It’s a project dedicated to the process, not shortcuts.
As he moves forward, ThaKayder has more music on the way. Each release adds another layer to the foundation he built from childhood: authentic stories, elevated perspectives, and a commitment to staying real.
Through it all, he carries appreciation for everyone who played a role in his journey—whether directly or indirectly. Every moment contributed to the artist he is today.
From Southcrest to Phoenix, the message remains the same: plant real seeds, stay dedicated, and the trophies will follow.
