The Heart Behind The Music: The Story Of Seddy Hendrinx

Growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, Seddy Hendrinx learned early that life would not always be easy. Moving from place to place, his childhood was marked by uncertainty, with his family sometimes living in hotels and staying in homeless shelters. Despite the challenges, those experiences helped shape his outlook on life and the person he would become.

Through it all, his family remained an important source of support. His mother, sister, and father figure, Quan, played significant roles in keeping him motivated and teaching him the importance of hard work. Their influence helped build the mindset he carries today, both in music and in life.

Seddy began his musical journey in 2017, discovering his potential after releasing his second song, a remix of Bryson Tiller’s “Exchange” titled “Remember Me.” The response from his hometown gave him the encouragement he needed to take music seriously. What started as an opportunity to express himself quickly became something bigger.

By 2018, Seddy was getting paid to perform at shows throughout Jacksonville, building his name and gaining experience in front of live audiences. A year later, he reached another major milestone by signing his first major record deal. His progress reflected the work he had been putting in and the opportunities he created by staying consistent.

Along the way, Seddy continued learning from the people around him. Beyond his family, he credits industry figures such as DJ Drama, Don Cannon, and the Generation Now team for helping shape his work ethic. Observing how they operated behind the scenes gave him a better understanding of the business and what it takes to build a lasting career.

As his career developed, Seddy also became more intentional about his creative process. He prefers working with real musicians and maintains a focused studio environment where distractions are limited. For him, making music requires discipline, respect for the process, and the right people in the room. That same hands-on approach carries into his visuals, where he often takes the lead in directing music videos and overseeing post-production to make sure his vision comes together as intended.

Throughout his journey, records like “LOWKEY,” “Hands Down,” “45,” “Need You,” “Still Lowkey,” “Trying,” and “Again” have helped shape his musical catalog. Each release represents another part of his growth as an artist, continuing to connect his experiences with the music he creates.

Now, Seddy Hendrinx continues to move forward with his latest album, Grinding and Grieving, currently available on all streaming platforms.
