“The Melodic Tapes 2” Shows Ty Balla’s Growth in Real Time

Ty Balla is stepping into a new phase with his latest release, “The Melodic Tapes 2.” The Bronx artist has been steadily building momentum, and this project shows exactly where he’s aiming. Across 14 tracks, Ty leans fully into his growing versatility—sliding between R&B, melodic rap, and smoother vocal pockets without forcing anything. The tape includes features from Marcus Alex, Class L.V., Nyus, and Kay Jenea, each adding their own texture without overshadowing his voice.

What stands out most is Ty’s push to expand the R&B lane on his own terms. The project feels intentional; the writing is clearer, the melodies are sharper, and the structure shows he’s thinking beyond quick hits. Songs like “GIRLS LUV RIHANNA,” “THE GET BACK,” “UNTANGLED,” “SPEAK 2 ME,” and “THE WAY IT IS” show how comfortable he’s become experimenting with tone and pace while keeping the emotion centered.

He also brings the visuals forward with the official video for “UNTANGLED”—track number 11—now live on YouTube. It’s another sign that he’s taking the full rollout seriously, not just dropping music and moving on.

Alongside the new project, Ty has launched his own movement and label, #HVE (High Volume Ent),giving him more creative space and control over what he releases next.

Only after hearing the project does the rest of his story click into place. Ty grew up in The Bronx with a balanced and meaningful childhood, holding tight to the memories that still keep him grounded. He’s faced real losses too, but he carries the people still with him as motivation. Music has been around him for as long as he can remember—shaped by artists like Michael Jackson, Donell Jones, Chris Brown, 2Pac, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Tory Lanez, Travis Scott, and Don Toliver. Those influences didn’t just teach him what to listen for—they helped him build the sound he’s now refining with “The Melodic Tapes 2.”
