Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, Tahjaee has always been driven by creativity. Growing up, his interests stretched far beyond music. He loved basketball, acting, stand-up comedy, archaeology, and biochemistry, while also spending time learning the piano and drums. Those experiences helped shape the creative mindset that would later define his music.
Through every stage of life, Tahjaee has found his biggest inspiration in two things: his family and his own life experiences. Those influences continue to fuel the stories he tells through his music.
His journey as a writer began in the second grade, where he discovered a passion for poetry. At the time, becoming a recording artist wasn’t even on his radar. That changed during his tenth year of school when he decided to record his first song and upload it to SoundCloud. What started as an experiment quickly became the beginning of something much bigger.
Writing poetry naturally evolved into writing lyrics, giving Tahjaee a way to express himself through music. His first mixtape on SoundCloud quickly gained over 100,000 streams, proving that listeners were connecting with his sound. That early success gave him the motivation to keep pushing forward and take music more seriously.
During his sophomore year of high school, he formed a music group called Misguided Generation. Although the group didn’t last long, the experience played an important role in his growth as an artist and gave him valuable lessons that would help shape his career.
Over the years, Tahjaee has continued to build an impressive catalog with standout records like “StoryTime,” “Big Sexy,” “Big Bank,” and “ZaZa.” His dedication to his craft has also opened the door to collaborations with platinum-selling artists including BigXthePlug and Fredo Bang, further cementing his place as one of Fort Worth’s rising voices.
Now, Tahjaee is reaching a new level of recognition with his latest viral single, “WYM (I AIN’T FRESH)”featuring jhonniedamnd. The record has been gaining momentum across social media and streaming platforms, introducing his music to an even wider audience.
