Chicago artists RBDeeski and Kilo The Dreamer have come together for a new collaboration that reflects the energy and environment they both come from. Their latest release, “9:35 In Tha RaQ,”brings together two different sides of the city—RBDeeski representing the South area of Chicago, while Kilo The Dreamer carries the sound of the East side.
Growing up in Chicago meant spending most of their time outside. The blocks were the playground, and staying inside wasn’t the norm. Kids spent their days running through neighborhoods, playing on the streets, and finding any hoop they could to run a game. Those early experiences shaped the perspective and authenticity that now shows up in their music.
For RBDeeski, his sound reflects that same environment. His style is raw, direct, and built around the grind. Each record carries intention, blending street storytelling with high energy delivery. There’s no filler in the music—just real experiences and sharp delivery that pulls listeners into the world he came from while showing he’s carving out his own lane.
RBDeeski began making music in his early teens. Watching the world around him gave him plenty of inspiration, and music became a way to translate those experiences into sound. What started as freestyles recorded on makeshift setups eventually turned into a serious craft as he continued to develop his voice and style.
The new record “9:35 In Tha RaQ” brings that energy together with fellow Chicago artist Kilo The Dreamer, creating a collaboration that highlights both artists’ perspectives from different parts of the city. The track appears on the RedBully Glah Boy Project and also features Detroit singer Kydashia, adding another layer to the record’s sound.
By connecting artists from different areas while keeping the sound rooted in their shared Chicago upbringing, RBDeeski x Kilo The Dreamer deliver a record that captures the spirit of the city—gritty, energetic, and unapologetically real.
