Tm0tion’s story begins in Lumberton, North Carolina, but it’s Dillon, South Carolina that truly shaped him. He spent thirteen formative years there, growing up in an environment defined by movement, struggle, and survival. Raised mostly by his mother, his childhood was marked by constant transitions before eventually settling in Dillon. From an early age, he learned how to rely on himself, mentally and emotionally, understanding quickly that stability wasn’t guaranteed and strength had to be built.
By the time he was twelve, Tm0tion was already working. He didn’t expect handouts or shortcuts — he understood that if he wanted something, he had to earn it. Growing up in a household of seven children meant resources were stretched thin. They weren’t completely without, but nothing came easy. His mother worked tirelessly to keep food on the table and clothes on their backs, setting an example of resilience that left a permanent mark on him.
Faith played a central role in his upbringing. His mother kept him grounded in church, where he sang in the choir and formed a personal relationship with God. That foundation still guides his life today and serves as a major source of strength in his music. The lessons learned through faith, hardship, and perseverance are woven into every record he creates.
Music became Tm0tion’s refuge. It was the place he could go when words failed him, a space to release emotions he couldn’t always express out loud. Over time, that outlet turned into opportunity. He began performing, opening shows for artists like Doc McKenzie, gaining confidence and realizing that his voice carried weight beyond his own experience.
In 2020, at just thirteen years old, he started recording music on BandLab, transforming raw emotion into melodies that resonated deeply. Inspired by artists like Rod Wave, Tm0tion learned how to translate pain, struggle, and real-life experiences into music that feels honest and personal. His sound is melodic and emotionally driven — music for people who’ve felt overlooked, alone, or forced to grow up too soon. Much of his catalog was created entirely on BandLab, proving that real music doesn’t require expensive studios, only real feeling.
Now based in Myrtle Beach and attending Glow Street Studio, Tm0tion continues to carry his roots with him. Memories from the Ball Diamond and Lou Block, where he spent countless days with his homies, still influence his perspective and his sound. Those places helped shape the person and artist he is becoming.
His latest release, “Who Can I Run To,” leans fully into vulnerability, exploring trust, pain, and emotional honesty. It’s another chapter in the story of a young artist unafraid to speak his truth. With his upcoming EP, “Whole Lotta M0tion,” set to drop March 4th, Tm0tion is stepping into a new phase of growth.
Driven by faith, shaped by hardship, and fueled by purpose, Tm0tion is creating music that moves beyond entertainment. His work is meant to heal, connect, and remind listeners they’re not alone.
He gives credit where it’s due — to his mother for keeping him grounded, and to his father for teaching him how to be a man and move with intention.
