Zoe Osama: From the East Side to the Main Stage — The Rise Behind Mr. Nobody

From the heart of South Central Los Angeles, Zoe Osama has emerged as one of the most compelling voices in modern West Coast hip-hop. Known for his gritty authenticity and raw storytelling, Zoe’s music embodies the struggle, pride, and perseverance of Los Angeles culture.

Zoe Osama’s journey began on the East Side of Los Angeles, where he first started carving his sound through local mixtapes and collaborations under his collective Tha New Cartel. His early releases, including Easty, “Underrated”, and Nine Street,” painted vivid portraits of his environment — raw, unapologetic, and deeply rooted in his neighborhood’s experiences.

By 2024, Zoe’s momentum led to a partnership with EMPIRE Records and the release of From the East Side With Love. Featuring heavy hitters like E-40 and Snoop Dogg, the project showcased his ability to blend old-school West Coast energy with modern production. It was a career-defining moment that put his city — and his voice — on a much larger map.

Released in August 2025Mr. Nobody is Zoe Osama’s most personal and ambitious body of work to date. The 20-track album, distributed through Tha New Cartel, Inc. and EMPIRE, dives deep into themes of identity, loyalty, struggle, and resilience.

The title itself, Mr. Nobody, reflects Zoe’s mindset — the feeling of being overlooked by the industry, yet using that invisibility as motivation. “It’s about being doubted,” Zoe explained in a recent interview. “But if they don’t see you, that just means you’ve got more room to move.”

Tracks like Party On The East Cide Pt. 2 featuring Ab-Soul, and Gangsta Boogie Pt2 capture the raw, unfiltered spirit of Los Angeles, while songs such as Crash Out and How U Like Me Now?”showcase Zoe’s growth as both a lyricist and a storyteller. The production stays true to the West Coast’s DNA — bass-heavy, confident, and full of bounce — while still allowing Zoe’s voice and message to shine through.
