We sat down and asked “Zoony Son” a few question’s for his fan’s to get a deeper look at his upbringing.
Q: What city are you from?
Zoony Son : Im from Peoria, Illinois • Born and raised.
Q: When did you start making music?
Zoony Son: I started writing rhymes when I lost my scholarship, but didn’t take music serious until after my brother died a few years ago.
Q: Tell us about your childhood?
Zoony Son : I’m the oldest of six. I come from a single parent home raised on section 8 and welfare. My siblings and I got adopted when we were young. My father was incarcerated in prison until I turned 21 years old. Unfortunately I don’t have a close relationship with my biological parents.
Q: What artist did you grow up listening to that inspired your sound?
Zoony Son : I learned the blueprint from Nipsey Hussle, not only did he inspire me as an artist, but as an entrepreneur, humanitarian, and activist.
Q: Where did you first start recording music?
Zoony Son : Surprisingly I’ve never recorded at a legit studio. My first project was actually recorded in my room.
Q: Who are some Artist you wanna shout out that you worked with?
Zoony Son: So far I have yet to collaborate with any artists but I do want to publicly give flowers to my producer Yung Bull and engineer Win.
Q: If you could explain your sound how would you?
Zoony Son : My sound is unique. I’m in my own lane and I’m not trying to sound like anybody. I don’t categorize my rhymes as raps I consider it poetry.
Q: What is your most recent release?
Zoony Son: I recently just dropped my first project called “God Remedies Internal Trauma” out now !
Q: Do you have anything coming up?
Zoony Son : I’m on a collab project with “The Artist Connect” coming soon.
