From Dayton to Columbus: The Rise of MpNRicco

MpNRicco’s story is rooted deeply in Ohio soil, shaped by movement, survival, and relentless creativity. Originally born in Dayton, Ohio, Ricco spent his earliest years there before relocating to Columbus at the age of three with his mother and brother. That shift would become the first of many defining transitions in a life marked by adaptation and hustle.

By just seven years old, Ricco had already found his voice, rapping around the north side of Columbus and absorbing the sounds and energy of the streets around him. Music came naturally—almost inherited. On his mother’s side, talent ran deep, with family members rapping from a young age and dreaming of building something bigger together. There were early plans to form a family-based music group, but internal conflicts and street pressures eventually derailed that vision before it could fully materialize.

As Ricco moved between Dayton and Columbus throughout his youth, he was exposed to different environments that shaped both his worldview and his art. Trouble followed at times, particularly during his Dayton years, where street affiliations within his extended family blurred the line between survival and self-destruction. Without consistent guidance, Ricco searched for outlets beyond the chaos, turning to drawing, experimentation, and eventually a sharper focus on music as a real path forward.

Everything began to change when Ricco returned to Columbus—this time settling on the Far East Side. There, he connected with like-minded creatives who shared his hunger to build something meaningful. Out of those relationships came the foundation of CDB🏆MPN Da Label, a collective that would grow from a local movement into a recognizable name far beyond city limits. Before the label was even fully established, the group was already uploading music through UnitedMasters and earning real income from their sound—proof that their grind was more than just talk.

Under the MpNRicco banner, collaborations followed naturally. He began working with a range of artists including MpN.Lil, DropaBagRob, BabiiFaceYae, KeyLil2, 10TA LILA, and SRT Cellus, while also recruiting new members into the CDB🏆MPN family. Though he’s related to rising artists YuhRetro and RnB Chu from Dayton, Ricco acknowledges that their contrasting styles make collaboration rare, reinforcing his belief that chemistry matters more than bloodlines in music.

Sonically, MpNRicco’s sound is energetic, fast-paced, and unmistakably Midwest. Drawing influence from artists like Montana of 300, Soulja Boy, Famous Dex, Rich The Kid, and Jay Critch, his music blends Columbus grit with the bounce of Milwaukee, Flint, and Detroit-style production. The result is a raw but celebratory mix—street struggles colliding with party-ready energy, delivered in Ricco’s own unapologetic style.

True to his independent spirit, Ricco records all of his music in his own in-house studio. But he didn’t stop there. Teaching himself how to shoot and edit videos, he evolved into a visual effects artist, directing and editing visuals not only for his own releases but also for numerous up-and-coming Columbus artists. That skillset turned MpNRicco into more than a rapper—he became a full-service creative force.

Never confined to one lane, Ricco also stepped into the adult film industry, building a rapidly growing presence on platforms like Pornhub and OnlyFans. What started as experimentation quickly became another serious business venture, adding yet another dimension to his already multifaceted brand.

With years spent moving between Dayton and Columbus, navigating different sides of Ohio and different chapters of life, MpNRicco has emerged as a self-made artist who thrives on independence and vision. His most recent release, Most Paid, solidified his momentum, and with his next project scheduled for January 2026, Ricco shows no signs of slowing down. From the underground to ownership, MpNRicco is building his legacy on his own terms—and making sure the world knows exactly where he came from.
