Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, she spent her earliest years surrounded by music and inspiration’s that would later shape her voice.
From childhood, music was more than background noise. KKOKO’s father introduced her to rap at a young age, sparking a passion that never faded. Even though rap was her first love, she always gravitated toward all types of music, drawn to the power of expression and the art of using words in a way that felt honest and creative.
By age 12, she began writing lyrics. At 15, she decided to take her craft seriously. Her playlist growing up featured heavy influences like Beyoncé, Cardi B, Gucci Mane, and Young Dolph — artists whose confidence, energy, and authenticity inspired her to build her own sound. Today, she describes her style as upbeat, bold, and rooted in southern trap — a reflection of both where she comes from and where she’s headed.
Most of her recording comes to life at Legacy Music Group in Dallas, where she continues to sharpen her voice and identity as an artist. Outside the studio, her childhood memories weren’t tied to any one hangout spot — it was simply being “outside,” enjoying the freedom of the moment, or spending time at the mall with friends.
KKOKO’s most recent release, “Certified,” captures the confidence and attitude she’s becoming known for. It serves as the foundation of her upcoming Certified EP, which will feature the single along with two additional tracks. The project marks a new chapter — one that showcases her growth, her grit, and her ability to deliver music that hits hard and feels true.
At the core of her journey is gratitude. KKOKO credits her parents for believing in her dreams and investing both time and resources into her career. She also shows love to her supporters, whose encouragement continues to push her forward.
