Lean4comfort’s Rise Is Rooted In Family, Loss, and Persistence

Growing up between Perris and Moreno Valley, Lean4comfort found music through real life, not trends. Some of his earliest memories were tied to family, especially the time spent with his late brother Noah and older sister Reanna. Their presence shaped a lot of who he became. His father also played a major role, pushing him toward music at 16 as a way to release pressure instead of holding everything in. What started as therapy slowly turned into purpose.

As a teenager, he spent most of his time on the Eastside of Riverside with close friends, building relationships and learning the environment around him. By 19, he was recording under the name BCN QUIN. The name came from a collective of friends making music together, a period that taught him how to structure records and sharpen his sound. Those sessions became the foundation for everything that came after.

Losing his brother Noah changed his direction completely. After his passing, Lean4comfort learned Noah would freestyle every morning inside homeless shelters just to keep himself going. That discovery stayed with him. From that point on, the music carried different meaning. It became bigger than ambition. Bigger than entertainment. He started treating every record like something that had to last.

He continues to honor Noah through his music, especially on records like “No Robitussin” and “Force,” both directly inspired by his brother’s memory.

His sound pulls from everywhere he’s lived and everything he’s listened to. West Coast artists like 03 GreedoBino Rideaux, and Kalan.FrFr helped shape his early style, while newer Florida influences like Loe Shimmy and Hurricane Wisdom pushed him toward a more melodic direction. At the same time, artists like Kanye WestJay-ZPusha TPharrell Williams, and even Kings of Leon influenced the way he approaches music creatively. That mix gives his catalog range, from slower heartbreak records to melodic songs with more energy and bounce.

His first real studio experience came at Dave’s Studio in Riverside, where he recorded tracks like “Force,” “No Sim,” and “Where I Been?” As he kept growing, he started working out of different studios before finding a second home at Soulshakedown in San Diego. The atmosphere there pushed him creatively, leading to records like “Skeletons,” “Loui V Too Had,” and the unreleased track “Go Far.” He’s also worked closely with Balance, an engineer and artist he credits as part of his development.

Now, Lean4comfort is stepping into a new phase. His latest singles “Skeletons” and “Loui V” are out now on all streaming platforms, while “Go Far” is next in line — a record he considers one of his personal favorites so far.
