Compton, California artist 2txnez started making music at 16, turning his childhood and the things he has gone through in life into inspiration for his sound.
Growing up, 2txnez listened to artists like E-40, Ty Dolla $ign, and Joe Moses. Those influences helped shape his musical direction, while his own experiences continue to play a major role in how he approaches his music.
2txnez describes his sound as a Bay Area-style, high-energy approach with a different cadence. He also draws inspiration from artists like 1Take Jay and AzChike while continuing to build a sound that feels like his own.
He records his music from home and spent most of his time around Compton and Orange County. Growing up, moving around wasn’t always easy due to the violence around him. He says he has been ducking bullets since he was a kid, experiences that became part of his life and ultimately influenced his perspective.
Recently, 2txnez has been dropping records including “I Got Digits,” “Paper Cutz,” and “Fuck Like You Dance” featuring G5ive. With his first tape dropping soon and album mode coming next, 2txnez is continuing to put his life and experiences into his music while building toward his next chapter.
