The Heart Behind The Music: The Journey Of Lul Jaida

Emerging out of the South Suburbs of Chicago, Lul Jaida is building her name through music, drawing from her experiences and a creative side that has been with her since childhood. Although music became a serious pursuit later in life, her connection to the arts started at an early age.

Growing up, Jaida describes herself as a pretty chill kid. She was naturally drawn to creative activities, often trying her hand at drawing and finding different ways to express herself. In sixth grade, she also played the flute and French horn, giving her an early introduction to music before she began developing her own sound.

Jaida grew up in a household with her mother and younger sister. Although her parents were separated, her father remained present in her life. She also maintains close relationships with her siblings on both sides of the family, keeping those family connections important as she continues to grow.

By eighth grade, Jaida began spending more time outside, moving around and hanging out in the city. As she got older, her experiences expanded beyond her immediate surroundings, giving her more opportunities to experience different environments and build memories of her own.

Before fully committing to music, Jaida explored different paths, including doing hair and working regular jobs. Around 2019, she began finding her way back to music, reconnecting with something that would eventually become a bigger part of her life. What started as a return to her creative side gradually developed into a serious pursuit.

Around 2022–2023, Jaida began taking her craft more seriously. Her early releases, “Talk That Shit”and the “Pow” remix, helped kick off her journey and gave her the motivation to keep pushing forward. Those records marked important steps in her development, encouraging her to continue building her catalog and growing as an artist.

Throughout her journey, Jaida has continued releasing music and adding to her growing body of work. Songs such as “Eater,” “ON DUMMY,” “Back Seat,” and “My Frenchie” have become key records along the way, each representing another step in her musical progression.

Now, Lul Jaida is keeping that momentum going with her latest single, “IN & OUT” featuring Nogo Bam, available now. As she continues to develop her sound and build her presence, she is moving forward with the same creative energy that has been part of her since childhood.
