Denaron: Rooted in Houston — With a Love for R&B

Emerging out of Houston, Texas, Denaron is an R&B artist whose journey began with a quiet personality and a natural talent that eventually brought him into the spotlight. Raised by his mother and stepfather as an only child, he spent much of his childhood reserved and shy. Between playing Little League and attending middle and high school, music became the outlet that helped him discover a different side of himself.

Around the ages of 12 to 14, Denaron began recognizing his ability to sing and write music. Singing in the church choir helped him break out of his shell and become more comfortable performing in front of others. He started winning talent shows at school and throughout his community, building confidence with every performance. By 15 or 16, he was writing his own songs, and around 16 or 17, he began recording his music. Even the girls who admired his voice encouraged him to create his own records, reminding him that his talent was worth taking seriously.

Growing up, Denaron picked up musical influences from his father’s collection, listening to legends like Sam Cooke, Tyrone Davis, and The Temptations. As he developed his own taste, he gravitated toward artists such as Joe Thomas, Musiq Soulchild, D’Angelo, and Dave Hollister. Those influences helped shape his appreciation for R&B, soulful vocals, and meaningful songwriting. When describing his sound, Denaron puts it simply: a little Avant mixed with some Usher.

Houston also played a role in shaping his journey outside the music itself. He remembers spending time at local spots like Shadow Bar, Venue, Night Moves, and Club Love on the northeast side of the city. These were some of the places that made up his surroundings while he continued growing into the artist he wanted to become.

Today, Denaron continues creating music in his hometown, recording much of his released material at The Lions Den in Houston alongside his homie LabOx. His latest release, “Front Row,” captures a romantic sentiment, built around the idea of wanting a front-row seat to the woman who has his attention. It’s another look into the smooth, soulful side of his artistry.

Denaron isn’t stopping there. He has a new single titled “Don’t Worry” featuring Cupid planned for 2027, giving listeners something else to look forward to as he continues building his catalog.

Through every stage of his journey, Denaron has had people standing behind him. He gives special recognition to his wife, Shon, his manager, Tammara, Debonair, LabOx, Jenni, and his mother and father for their support along the way. He also extends his appreciation to everyone who has shared his music, promoted his work, and spoken positively about his name when he wasn’t in the room.
