The Story Behind The Artist: The Journey Of ReallyRare

Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and raised on the east side of Atlanta, ReallyRare has a story shaped by family, music, faith, and perseverance. His journey has taken him through different stages of life, each contributing to the artist and entrepreneur he is today.

Around the age of nine or ten, ReallyRare moved to Atlanta, where he grew up in a single-parent household with his mother and three siblings. His older brothers played an important role in his upbringing, often leading the way and keeping him close as they navigated life together.

During his younger years, sports were a major part of his life. He played several positions in football, including running back, fullback, tight end, and defensive end. While athletics helped shape his competitive nature, music was another passion that continued to grow.

ReallyRare began experimenting with music at a young age, recording himself on cassette tapes and drawing inspiration from artists like Lil Wayne. What started as a childhood interest gradually developed into something more serious. With encouragement from his sister, their mother began investing in their musical aspirations, creating opportunities for them to perform at open mics during their high school years.

However, his journey was not without its challenges.

ReallyRare faced serious legal troubles that resulted in him spending nearly a year incarcerated. At one point, he was facing a potential 93-year prison sentence. Through that difficult period, he credits his faith in the Most High for helping him maintain his strength and perspective.

After his release in 2024, he returned with a renewed sense of purpose and a determination to continue building his future.

Today, ReallyRare is focused on more than just music. His entrepreneurial efforts include investments in the trucking industry, Airbnb rentals, and an upcoming restaurant in Houston called Red Eats. His ability to pursue multiple ventures reflects his desire to create opportunities beyond the recording studio.

When it comes to making music, ReallyRare embraces a natural creative process, often recording without writing his lyrics beforehand. His latest single, “Woah,” featuring Yung Mal, is currently available on all streaming platforms. He also discusses the making of “Don’t It,” another record that represents his continued work as an artist.

Looking ahead, ReallyRare has his sights set on achieving number-one records and collaborating with artists like Future. His ambitions reflect a belief in his own potential and a commitment to reaching the next level.

Through his experiences, ReallyRare has learned the importance of remaining consistent and staying focused, even when the road becomes discouraging. His message to others is simple: never give up on what you believe in.

From his early days in Winston-Salem to building a life and career in Atlanta, ReallyRare continues to move forward with faith, determination, and a vision for what comes next.
