BigTimeBake on The Notice Volume 2 — The Story Behind the Artist

BigTimeBake is an emerging artist from Oxnard, California, whose journey into music is rooted in discipline, family influence, and a steady commitment to growth. Raised in a tight-knit household with deep ties to Jalisco, Mexico, and San Antonio, Texas, his upbringing played a central role in shaping both his character and creative direction.

A major influence in his life was his grandfather, a respected police officer in Oxnard known by the nickname “Big Time.” More than just a name, it became a standard—one that BigTimeBake would carry into his own identity as an artist. His grandfather also introduced him to structure early on, encouraging him to pursue sports like baseball and football. That foundation would later translate into the work ethic he brings to music today.

Before he was born, BigTimeBake experienced a loss that would quietly shape his path. His biological father, who was involved in street life, passed away just two months before his birth. In response, his family made a conscious decision to guide him in a different direction, keeping him focused on athletics and away from negative influences. He grew up fully immersed in sports, developing the mindset, discipline, and resilience that now define his approach to his career.

Music didn’t enter the picture until later. Around the age of 18, while playing football at the University of Colorado, he began experimenting with music alongside teammates. What started as curiosity quickly became something more serious after he came across a video breaking down how beats are made. Inspired, he downloaded FL Studio and began teaching himself production.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he found the time and space to fully commit. He pushed himself to create consistently, producing up to three beats a day while also developing his skills as a recording artist and rapper. That period became a turning point, helping him sharpen his sound and build confidence in his abilities.

In 2023, BigTimeBake released his first solo EP, About Time, marking his official introduction as an artist. He followed that up with an even stronger run in 2025, dropping three full-length projects: Baker’s Dozen805 Baby, and Remember The Titans. Each release showed growth, consistency, and a clearer vision of who he is as an artist.

His catalog continues to expand with standout tracks like “Loosen Up,” “Aye Bruther,” “How You Broke Still???,” “Capeesh?,” and “Show Off,” records that highlight both his personality and his ability to connect with listeners.

Recently, BigTimeBake stepped onto a larger stage as part of The Notice, a rising platform presented by ThaRentsDue. The series gives artists the opportunity to showcase their rapping ability in a competitive format, where fans play a direct role in deciding who advances and who gets “put on notice.” Now featured in Volume 2, he’s continuing to prove why his name is gaining attention.

With a foundation built on discipline and a steady rise fueled by consistency, BigTimeBake is positioning himself as an artist to watch. As his journey continues, fans are encouraged to stay connected, follow his performance on The Notice, and cast their vote as he competes in Volume 2.
