Life, Growth, and Truth: Inside Dashawn Jordan’s ‘WHO KNEW?’

From Chandler, Arizona, Dashawn’s upbringing played a key role in who he is today. Raised by a single mother, he spent much of his time around older people, which pushed him to mature early. Being in those spaces exposed him to deeper conversations and a different level of awareness at a young age. Within his family, his grandmother and aunts helped raise him and instilled important values, while his uncles and older cousins became the role models he looked up to in the absence of his father.

His connection to music started early. His mother enrolled him and his sister in choir as kids, where he began developing his voice. Even with that foundation, Dashawn kept his music private for years. While in high school in Arizona, he quietly booked his own studio sessions, working on his craft before making anything public.

That patience carried into his official rollout. Working alongside his brother Pat, he focused on delivering quality and building credibility from the start. Early releases like “White Claw,” along with his collaboration “Automatic” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, helped introduce him to a wider audience. Support from artists like A$AP Ferg gave him the confidence to fully step forward and share his music.

Dashawn stands on authenticity, making it clear that his lyrics are always factual and drawn from his personal experiences.

In 2025, he released his debut album “The Bridge,” a seven-track project featuring Ty Dolla $ignLogicLord D’AndreZion Wright, and Jag Farrah.

Now, with “WHO KNEW?”, he delivers a more focused project, featuring K CAMP and Blxst. The EP continues to build on his sound while keeping his storytelling honest and direct—exactly what listeners have come to expect.

Outside of music, Dashawn has also built a name for himself as a professional skateboarder. He is sponsored by Nike and other major brands, and even has his own signature shoe, the Nike SB Low Dashawn Jordan “Copperhead”—a milestone that reflects his influence beyond music.
