New Music Alert: Joey Kash Drop’s “Self-Made: Long-Term Investments”

Emerging out of Seattle, Washington, Joey Kash returns with his new EP, Self-Made: Long-Term Investments, the second installment of his Self Made series. Released earlier this year in April, the first installment showcased his work ethic and consistency. Now, he’s back with another self-produced project, continuing to build on his sound as an independent artist.

The new EP features five records with no features, keeping the spotlight entirely on Joey Kash and his ability to bring his vision to life.

Before getting into his rapping ability, the production deserves its recognition. Through and through, the project feels cohesive, with a clear direction and an intentional sound. As a self-produced artist, Joey Kash brings everything together in a way that allows the project to flow naturally from beginning to end.

The opening record, “The ReignMan,” sets the tone with high-level rap, storytelling, and a confident delivery. Standing out with an authentic feel and original sound, Joey Kash continues to show why he’s one of the most talented artists emerging out of Seattle.

My personal favorite track off the EP is number three, “Hov in a Lexus.” It’s a standout record that deserves a spot in the rotation.

Closing out the project is “Sitting High,” a heartfelt record that feels like a reflection of his journey. Looking at where he’s been and where he stands today, Joey Kash gives listeners a glimpse into his perspective and growth.

Joey Kash is a true West Coast hidden gem, displaying high-level rap over production that complements his artistry. With consistency, a clear vision, and an authentic sound, he’s definitely an artist to keep your eye on.
