New Music Alert: Trifling & Steelz Drop “Steel Crazy In The Hood”

Emerging out of Long Beach, California, Trifling links up with star producer Steelz for their new project “Steel Crazy In The Hood,” currently available on all streaming platforms. The entire project is executive produced by Steelz and FLMG, with features from Thirsty P, Baby Money, Big Sad 1900, RJMrLA, and G Perico.

From the opening tracks, “Steel Trifling” through “Hard To Be Me,” Trifling and Steelz immediately set the tone, giving listeners that classic lifestyle sound before the features start kicking in. Trifling stands out with his distinctive voice, authentic feel, and confident delivery, touching on real-life experiences, street life, perseverance, and getting 2 it.

LA legend RJMrLA makes his presence felt on track 4, “50 On Me,” adding another strong West Coast presence to the project.

Trifling also shows his versatility on track 5, “Twin.” The slowed-down record gives him room to switch up his delivery, adding a slight melodic tone while still keeping his signature sound intact.

One of my personal favorite records off the project is track 7, “Differences” featuring Big Sad 1900. The chemistry between the two artists makes this one stand out, with Big Sad bringing his own style to the record.

Track 10, “Where I’m From,” is another standout. The more heartfelt record gives Trifling a chance to reflect on where he comes from, the experiences that shaped him, and everything that comes with the journey.

The project closes out with “They Want Me Dead,” which opens with a callback to 50 Cent’s classic “Many Men,” immediately setting the vibe for the final record.

All in all, “Steel Crazy In The Hood” is one of the strongest bodies of work to come out of Long Beach this year. Trifling is a true West Coast hidden gem with an authentic feel and original sound, and this project gives listeners a closer look at what he brings to the table.

Trifling is definitely an artist to keep your eye on as he takes his name to new heights. Make sure to check out the full project and tap in with the link below.
