Raised in Belgium, Rooted in Morocco: A Journey Defined by Culture & Expression

Born and raised in Belgium with Moroccan roots, Dina’s story is shaped by two worlds. Summers spent in Morocco kept her closely tied to her heritage, while her life in Europe exposed her to a wide range of sounds and cultures that would later influence her music.

Her connection to music started early. As a child, her grandfather introduced her to toy instruments, sparking a curiosity that quickly grew into something deeper. By the age of four, she was already experimenting with drums and guitar. Around the same time, long car rides with her father became an unexpected classroom. Surrounded by hip-hop, she memorized lyrics before fully understanding them—eventually using that same music to teach herself English.

Artists like Tupac ShakurMissy Elliott, and DMX played a key role in shaping her early ear. Their influence not only helped her develop language skills, but also introduced her to storytelling through music. At the same time, her upbringing as a Muslim led her to study Arabic through the Quran, adding another layer to her cultural and linguistic identity.

Dina first stepped into the public eye at just 12 years old on The Voice Kids, where she performed “See You Again” by Charlie Puth. While music was always present, she also showed discipline outside of it, playing tennis from age six to fifteen before ultimately choosing to focus fully on her artistry.

A major turning point came through her collaboration with producer Chuki Beats. Together, they began shaping her sound, leading to a breakout freestyle that reached over a million views. From there, her authenticity carried over to platforms like TikTok, where she built momentum by staying true to herself rather than chasing trends.

Her influences run deep. She credits Kanye West as a major inspiration, recalling personal moments like attending his Sunday Service and experiencing his creative energy firsthand. At the core of her songwriting, she points to Lauryn Hill—especially The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill—along with Tupac, as guiding forces behind her approach to honesty and storytelling.

For Dina, music is more than just output—it’s about connection. She places real value on building genuine relationships with collaborators, choosing authenticity over purely business-driven moves.

Before fully committing to her career, she spent time studying law, showing a different side of her discipline and ambition. But music ultimately became the path she couldn’t ignore. Alongside her sound, her personal style has evolved as well. While she appreciates Belgium’s fashion scene, she feels a stronger sense of freedom and expression in the United States.

Now, she steps into a new chapter with her latest project, “IDENTITY.” The 12-track album reflects her growth, both as an artist and as a person navigating multiple cultures and influences. Featuring a guest appearance from Gunna, the project highlights her versatility and confidence.

Standout records like “No Rush,” “Problems,” “Don’t Get Me Started,” and “Won’t Let Go” capture the essence of who she is—honest, evolving, and unapologetically herself.

With IDENTITY, Dina isn’t just introducing a project. She’s defining who she is, on her own terms.
