Rising artist “Kodell Perro” steps forward with his latest EP, “Due Time!”, currently available on all streaming platforms. Presented by “A-Way Production,” the project features 6 records with no features, allowing Kodell to showcase his sound and artistry from beginning to end.
Displaying high-level music over great production, Kodell sets the tone right from the opening record, “A1!” Showcasing his rapping ability with a commanding delivery and an original sound, he makes a strong first impression.
Leading into my favored record off the EP, track number 2, “On Dat Road?” The energy on this record stands out. With a slowed-down cadence and a different pace, Kodell showcases his versatility and gives listeners another side of his sound.
There’s a record for everyone on this EP. Tracks 3 and 4, “Play Fetch! (WitAK)” and “Lunch Break Thug?” bring in the lifestyle records. The type of music you can slide and vibe to, with an authentic feel.
Closing out the project, “Earl Manigualt” brings a more heartfelt approach. Opening with a news clip playback that helps set the vibe, the record gives the EP a memorable ending.
All in all, “Due Time!” is a solid body of work that displays Kodell Perro’s range, creativity, and ability to deliver across different sounds. He’s definitely an artist to keep your eye on as he continues taking his name to new heights. A true homegrown hidden gem.
