Staying True to Herself: The Journey of 4EVER $olo

Born in Long Beach, California, and raised in Compton, 4EVER $olo has spent years crafting a sound that reflects her experiences, emotions, and growth as an artist. Although Compton is where she was raised, part of her upbringing took place in the Inland Empire, where she attended middle school and part of high school. Experiencing different environments helped shape her perspective and played a role in the artist she is today.

Music has always been a major part of 4EVER $olo’s life. Before recording songs of her own, she spent years participating in choir from elementary school through middle school. Those early experiences helped develop her musical ear and laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong passion. At just 14 years old, she recorded her first song, and nearly ten years later, she is still dedicated to perfecting her craft.

Growing up, she was heavily influenced by old-school R&B and alternative music. While there wasn’t one specific artist who inspired her to start making music, artists such as Drake and Trippie Redd have had a strong influence on her sound and creative direction.

4EVER $olo describes her music as alternative hip-hop and melodic rap, but her catalog reaches far beyond a single style. Her music ranges from moody, atmospheric records that explore themes of love, heartbreak, and isolation to high-energy singles and hard-hitting underground tracks. No matter the mood, she strives to create music that listeners can connect with, offering something for everyone.

Like many independent artists, 4EVER $olo built her foundation with limited resources. Much of her music has been recorded through BandLab, a platform she credits for helping her discover her voice and freely express herself. While some may overlook the platform, she embraces it as an important part of her journey and proof that creativity can thrive regardless of budget.

Outside of music, many of her favorite memories come from spending time with family and friends. She often visited the Compton Airport with her sisters and linked up with friends throughout the city. Still, the main gathering spot was usually home. Her house became the place where everyone came together, creating memories and experiences that continue to inspire her today.

Continuing to build momentum, 4EVER $olo recently released her latest single, “99 PROBLEMS,” available now on all streaming platforms. Fans can also look forward to two upcoming releases, “VENDETTA” and “NO NEW FRIENDS,” as she continues expanding her catalog and showcasing her versatility as an artist.

As her journey continues, 4EVER $olo remains grateful for everyone who supported her during the moments when she struggled to believe in herself. She gives special thanks to those who stayed in her corner and encouraged her to keep going. Above all, she dedicates her hard work to her daughter, Aura, who serves as her greatest motivation and the reason she continues pushing herself every day.
