Growing up, Brooklin Rich was never the type of person to let obstacles stand in his way. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, he describes himself as a strong-willed child who always knew what he wanted. Even at a young age, he carried a unique balance of sensitivity and determination.
“I was very caring and soft, but also kind of hardened and strong-willed,” he recalls. “I struggled with anxiety heavily as a kid, and still do.”
Those early years were shaped by both emotional challenges and a deep connection to creativity. While anxiety often made social situations difficult, it also helped develop the self-awareness and emotional depth that would later become part of his artistry.
Music was never far from Brooklin’s life. As the great-grandson of legendary jazz drummer Buddy Rich, he was born into a family with a rich musical history. Still, Brooklin has always been focused on creating his own path.
His father placed drumsticks in his hands when he was just three months old, planting the first seeds of a lifelong passion. From that moment on, music became more than a hobby—it became a calling.
By the age of 10, Brooklin was already writing and recording music. As he entered his teenage years, his family moved frequently, taking him from Las Vegas to a small one-stoplight town in Nebraska, then to Chicago, before eventually returning to Las Vegas. While the constant changes could have disrupted his focus, they instead broadened his perspective and fueled his creativity.
No matter where he lived, one thing remained consistent: his commitment to his craft.
“I lived a lot of different lives in one,” he says. “Some stages were high and childlike, and some were completely lost and at rock bottom. But no matter what, I always had one goal in mind, and that was my craft.”
When it comes to musical influences, narrowing them down is nearly impossible. Brooklin grew up listening to everything from Paramore and Michael Jackson to Sammy Davis Jr. Thanks to parents who embraced all genres, he was exposed to a wide range of sounds and artistic expression from an early age.
Rather than drawing inspiration from one artist, Brooklin found himself inspired by the emotional and spiritual connection that music creates.
“Music saved my life,” he explains. “I know how it feels to only have music by your side. My goal is to create art that can help people the same way other artists helped me.”
That broad range of influences is reflected in his own music today. While he currently describes his sound as pop, he sees no limits on where his creativity can take him.
After years of experimenting with different styles and releases, Brooklin says he finally found his artistic direction around the age of 18.
“My sound is limitless and always will be,” he says. “I’ll break barriers and boundaries, but I’ll always contain me.”
Much of that creativity comes to life in the comfort of his own home studio. While many artists dream of recording in large professional facilities, Brooklin prefers creating in an environment where he feels completely free and comfortable.
“Everything is done within my home,” he says. “We spent years building the studio into what it is today. You just need what’s right for you. Don’t judge the room, judge the people in the room.”
Outside of music, nature has always been one of Brooklin’s greatest sources of peace and inspiration. While anxiety often kept him away from traditional hangout spots during his younger years, he found comfort outdoors.
Whether it was the ocean, forests, or mountains, nature became a place where he could reconnect with himself and find creative clarity. In Las Vegas, one location stands above the rest.
“Red Rock National Park, 100 percent,” he says. “That’s where a lot of my inspiration comes from.”
Today, Brooklin continues building momentum with the release of his latest single, “Resist.” Originally created in 2024 as part of a larger body of work, the song represents another step forward in his artistic journey.
While fans may have to wait a little longer for a full-length project, Brooklin is focused on releasing singles and strengthening his foundation one step at a time.
“I am building my support system day by day,” he says. “As it grows stronger, we get closer to a full project.”
As for those who have supported him along the way, Brooklin’s gratitude remains at the center of everything he does.
“I want to sincerely thank everyone who has taken the time to listen to my music or give my art a chance,” he says. “That means more to me than words can express.”
With a lifelong dedication to music, a growing catalog of releases, and a vision that refuses to be limited, Brooklin Rich is continuing to carve out his own lane—one built on authenticity, perseverance, and a genuine love for the art.
And as his journey continues, one thing remains certain: music isn’t just something Brooklin Rich does. It’s who he is.
