Emerging out of Oxnard, California, BigTimeBake is quickly making his presence felt as one of the West Coast’s rising new artists. With his latest release, “BAKERS DOZEN II,” he delivers a 13-track album that brings energy, versatility, and plenty of replay value.
“BAKERS DOZEN II” features Zoe Osama, Coyote, 3Skiii, ATM Danny, and Ogtee, with production handled by Expensive WZA, JEW3LZ, Whose, PreachIt2EmChris, iiinfinite, James KHZ, Gstarr, and Mansions.
From the opening track, “(Intro) Turn Me Up,” the title says it all. BigTimeBake comes out the gate with immediate energy, making it a perfect soundtrack for the summer. He keeps that momentum going with track two, “Aye Bruther,” followed by “Gettin 2 It,” two standout records that set the tone early.
As the album moves forward, BigTimeBake continues showing different sides of his sound. There are records that pull from an ’80s-inspired feel while still keeping his own twist, while “Wayback” gives listeners a look at his melodic side. A couple tracks later, ATM Danny joins him, adding another layer to the project.
The album closes out with the (LAnd-Mix) of “Aye Bruther,” featuring Coyote and Zoe Osama. It’s a strong way to bring the project full circle while giving one of the album’s standout records another life.
