Emerging out of Montgomery, Alabama, Lausane has experienced a journey shaped by loss, life lessons, personal growth, and the determination to create something greater for himself. Growing up, he was exposed to difficult circumstances early in life. Losing people close to him became a recurring part of his childhood, while his father’s lengthy incarceration in the federal system added another layer to his upbringing. Through the ups and downs, Lausane learned valuable lessons that would eventually influence both his outlook on life and his music.
His path wasn’t always straightforward. Before fully committing himself to music, Lausane admits that he was balancing two different worlds, with one foot in the streets and the other in the studio. It took time, experience, and personal setbacks for him to recognize where his focus needed to be. His journey has been one of constant learning, and the experiences he’s encountered have helped shape the person and artist he is today.
Family and the people around him have also played an important role in his development. His cousins, Bally Baby and Baby Mel, have been instrumental in his musical journey and recent momentum. Another major influence has been his close relationship with Fatt Macc, who consistently encouraged him to stay in the studio and remain productive, even during moments when Lausane lacked motivation. That push to stay consistent has helped him continue developing his sound and building his catalog.
One of the most meaningful influences in his life was the late Super Nard. Recognizing Lausane’s talent early on, Super Nard took him under his wing and became an important mentor, contributing to his personal development and growth as an artist. His impact remains a significant part of Lausane’s story.
A major turning point came during Lausane’s incarceration. While he was away, his cousin Bally Baby released the record “Free Luwhop,” helping introduce his name to a wider audience and generate momentum in his absence. Following his release, Lausane traveled to Atlanta and quickly realized that people were already familiar with the name “Luwhop.” Rather than starting over, he embraced the nickname and decided to run with the momentum.
The release of his project “Lauwhop Free” helped him establish a stronger foundation in Atlanta and gain additional traction within the music scene. What started as a record created during his absence eventually became part of a bigger movement surrounding his return and musical identity.
Throughout his journey, Lausane has continued adding records to his catalog, including standouts such as “Headshot,” “Up To Some,” “She Boring,” “Trap Official,” “Boss Da Bitch Up,” and “Hood On My Back.” Each release represents another chapter in his development and continued push to establish himself.
With plenty of life experience behind him and a growing catalog ahead of him, Lausane continues to build on the foundation he’s created. Be sure to check out his most recent album, “Let Me Talk,”currently available on all streaming platforms.
