Sacramento artist and producer Kiii is officially taking his independent movement to the next level with the release of his new album “THE VIEW FROM HERE,” available now on all streaming platforms.
Released today, September 18th, the project marks Kiii’s third album in the span of a year, continuing a prolific run that has been built around creative ownership, self-production, and doing things his own way.
Following “THE DOOR WITHOUT ANY WALLS,” Kiii returns with another self-produced body of work created across borders and influenced by the different communities he has connected with through music. The project features SHEEF THE 3RD, Stevie Crooks, Chi Sees, SujoGround’s Matheus Coringa and Valente, and North Carolina’s Yumz Awkword, who delivers the album’s first official feature. DMV artist Mélanje also makes her first rap appearance alongside Kiii, adding another standout moment to the project.
Kiii handles almost all of the production himself, continuing to showcase his ability behind the boards. “NO FREE KILOS,” featuring TSE4VR’s LoTheDemigod, is the album’s only co-produced record, created alongside Oakland-to-São Paulo producer ShawnIsADHD.
But Kiii isn’t stopping with the album.
Through his independent touring agency TSE4VR, Kiii is preparing to take his vision worldwide with THE SIDE QUEST, a seven-date international run traveling through São Paulo, Los Angeles, Fujisawa, Tokyo, Kyoto, and London.
Three continents. Four countries. Six cities. Seven dates.
The run is built around direct relationships with artists, producers, venues, and independent communities rather than traditional touring infrastructure. Select stops will also feature live beat-flip sessions with local producers, giving Kiii the opportunity to connect his production style directly with the sounds of each city.
This is bigger than another album release. Kiii is showing what can happen when an artist builds from the ground up, owns the vision, and turns relationships built through music into real creative communities.
