San Bernardino artist Geno Benz is one of the most talented up and coming artist out the Inland Empire. Raised in a tight, family-oriented household but surrounded by the realities of the trenches, Geno saw a lot early. Those experiences grounded him, sharpened him, and ultimately fueled the music he creates today.
Geno recorded his first song at just 12 years old, but it wasn’t until the end of high school that he committed fully to the craft. Inspired by legends like 2Pac and Snoop Dogg, he gravitated toward music that spoke truth, pain, and perspective—elements that now define his own sound. He describes his style as raw, authentic, and versatile: “street, gangster poetry, pain, poverty.” Every verse carries the imprint of where he’s been and what he’s seen.
Growing up, Geno split his time between basketball courts, skate parks, and local gyms—spaces that shaped his hustle and kept him connected to his community. As he developed as an artist, much of his work was recorded in Hollywood, where he sharpened his voice and turned personal stories into polished records.
His most recent releases, “Pain Takeaway” and “Reaper,” showcase his evolution and set the tone for what’s next. Fans won’t have to wait long—Geno has a new album on the way titled “Mixed Emotions,”a project he hints will reveal deeper layers of who he is.
Through it all, Geno stays rooted in gratitude. He makes it clear he didn’t do it alone, shouting out his family members Big EBK, Bubba, Slot8, and the block members who’ve supported him from day one. Above all, he extends a big shout out to his mom, his pops, and everyone “kin to me.”
