Atlanta artist Tensane is entering a new chapter. Previously known as Young10, he has officially rebranded as Tensane, bringing a fresh identity to the music while continuing to build from the experiences that shaped him.
Growing up in Atlanta, Tensane was outside a lot and spent much of his time around older guys. As the youngest in the crew, he naturally looked up to them and paid close attention to how they carried themselves, handled responsibilities and took care of their families. Being around that environment at a young age gave him a sense of ambition and taught him that he wanted to create something of his own and build a name for himself.
Music eventually became part of that vision. Tensane started making music at 18, drawing inspiration from artists he listened to growing up, including Young Thug and Bandit Gang Marco. Their different approaches to music helped open his mind to what was possible creatively and influenced the direction he wanted to take with his own sound.
Today, Tensane describes his music as melodic trap with plenty of energy and personality. Young Thug remains an influence, but Tensane isn’t trying to duplicate anyone else’s style. His focus is on taking what inspired him, adding his own experiences and personality, and creating music that feels authentic to him.
A lot of the music he has released so far was recorded at Marco’s house, giving him a familiar environment to develop his sound and continue working. Growing up, the Green Store was also one of the local spots where he spent time, adding another piece to the Atlanta memories that helped shape his journey.
Now, Tensane is focused on this next stage of his career. His latest release, “Pink Slipz,” represents part of the new direction, while “Call My Phone” is another record listeners can look forward to.
The rebrand from Young10 to Tensane is more than just a name change. It’s a chance to move forward with a stronger identity and a clearer vision of the artist he wants to become.
Through the journey, Tensane gives credit to the people who have supported him along the way, including Tatiyanna, Bandit Gang Marco and his brothers.
