Growing up in Kent, Washington, C Sm0ke always found himself drawn to creativity. Whether it was music, poetry, or artistic expression in general, creating became a natural part of who he was from an early age. Like many artists, his journey wasn’t built on comfort or stability. His childhood was filled with challenges as his family faced evictions and constant moves from place to place, searching for balance and a fresh start. Those experiences would later become some of the fuel behind his music.
While trying to navigate life as a kid, Csm0ke was also exposed to trap culture at a young age. The environment around him taught lessons that couldn’t be found in a classroom, shaping his perspective and influencing the stories he would eventually tell through music. During those years, he spent much of his time around his neighborhood, observing life, learning from the people around him, and finding inspiration in everyday struggles and victories.
Music became an outlet. Influenced by artists such as Lil Wayne, Bun B, Ludacris, Mac Miller, Eminem, Juice WRLD, and $uicideboy$, Csm0ke developed an appreciation for lyricism, emotion, and individuality. At just 16 years old, he began freestyling and writing poetry, using words as a way to process the world around him. What started as a creative escape slowly evolved into something much bigger.
Although music remained a passion throughout his younger years, it wasn’t until the age of 22 that Csm0ke decided to fully commit to his craft. After completing his term in the United States Navy, he returned home with a renewed sense of purpose and immediately enrolled at the Los Angeles Film School to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Music Production.
His education opened new doors and allowed him to expand his skill set far beyond writing and recording. He learned industry-standard software including Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Melodyne, and FL Studio, giving him the tools to self-produce, engineer, mix, and create his own sound from start to finish. That knowledge also allowed him to collaborate with other artists, produce beats, and contribute to recording sessions while continuing to refine his own artistry.
Today, Csm0ke stands apart from the average rapper. Rather than following trends or sticking to predictable formulas, he enjoys pushing creative boundaries through layered wordplay and experimental sounds. His music often blends laid-back smoking vibes with psychedelic influences, creating an atmosphere that feels both reflective and immersive. Every track is an opportunity to explore new ideas while remaining authentic to his experiences.
To bring his vision to life, Csm0ke works from his own home studio while also utilizing professional recording spaces such as Blu Print Multimedia Studios in Phoenix, Arizona, and Pyramix Studios. His commitment to growth and quality continues to elevate his music with every release.
His newest single, “Acidity,” is available now on all major streaming platforms, including SoundCloud, and serves as another step forward in his artistic evolution. With a steady stream of new music planned throughout the coming months, Csm0ke is preparing to make an even bigger statement with the release of his debut EP, scheduled for early December as he looks to enter the new year with momentum.
As he continues building his name within the industry, Csm0ke remains focused on growth, creativity, and collaboration. He also takes a moment to show love to those who have supported his journey along the way, including Knotty Kidd, Killasiah, YSB JAY, marthehor, Datboygood, Raedasteppa, and his little brother Kaden.
