Growing up, he was active in athletics, but by the age of 9 he had already started becoming involved in the streets. Being around an older crowd at a young age gave him valuable lessons and helped shape the person he would become.
Music entered Bay Swag’s life early. He began rapping at 13 years old, inspired in part by his uncle, Slow of Slow Bucks, who exposed him to the music industry from a young age. Seeing the business up close motivated him to pursue his own path in music.
Everything became more serious when his father was incarcerated. At 16, Bay Swag focused on his craft with a different mindset. He saw music as more than a hobby—it became a way to create opportunities for himself and support his family. That motivation pushed him to keep working, even when success wasn’t immediate.
While still in school, Bay Swag started making noise locally with his song “Rumors.” The record became a turning point, bringing him attention throughout his school and neighborhood. It was one of the first signs that his hard work was beginning to pay off.
His rise continued over the years, proving that his success was never an overnight story. Around 2017 and 2018, another major breakthrough came when he appeared on King Combs’ record “Type Different.” The feature helped elevate his profile and opened new doors in the industry.
As his career grew, Bay Swag collaborated with several notable artists, including Lil Tjay, G Herbo, Lil Baby, and Young Thug. Each opportunity helped expand his reach while allowing him to continue developing his own sound.
One of the most important partnerships in his career has been with producer Cash Cobain. Their chemistry led to a series of successful records, including the viral hit “Fisherrr,” which later received a remix featuring Ice Spice. Together, they became key figures in the growing “sexy drill” movement, a sound Bay Swag proudly embraces.
Today, Bay Swag continues to build on years of dedication and consistency. His journey from South Side Jamaica, Queens to becoming one of New York’s most recognizable rising artists is the result of patience, hard work, and staying committed to his vision.
