Growing up in DeKalb County on the east side of Metro Atlanta, Big Kashflow was surrounded by a culture that would eventually shape his identity as an artist. Raised in Decatur, Georgia, he developed a love for hip-hop at an early age, not just because of the music itself, but because of what it represented.
For Kashflow, hip-hop was always bigger than entertainment. It was a form of freedom, self-expression, and a way to rise above limitations. Watching artists use their voices to tell stories and connect with people inspired him to find his own path through music.
As a kid, he spent countless hours listening to some of rap’s most respected lyricists. Artists like Lil Wayne, Eminem, and Twista became major influences on his sound and mindset. Their unique flows, wordplay, and ability to stand apart from the crowd left a lasting impression on him. Twista, in particular, became one of Kashflow’s personal favorites, inspiring his appreciation for flow, delivery, and technical skill.
As his passion for music grew, so did his commitment to creating it. Throughout his career, Big Kashflow has worked with various engineers across Atlanta, recording music and building relationships within the local scene. He takes pride in supporting creatives from the east side, believing that consistency, proximity, and shared ambition should bring artists together to create meaningful work.
Outside of the studio, one of Kashflow’s favorite places to spend time is Little Five Points. Whether he’s shopping, grabbing something to eat, getting a tattoo, or simply catching a vibe, the area has become one of his go-to spots. The artistic energy, individuality, and creative atmosphere found there reflect much of what he values as an artist.
Today, Big Kashflow continues to push forward with a sound that embraces versatility and authenticity. His latest project, “DA BIG BROTHER,” showcases exactly that. The five-track EP delivers a variety of moods and styles, proving his ability to adapt while staying true to himself. Some of the records have been in the vault for a while, while others were created more recently, giving listeners a well-rounded look into his artistry.
Although the project is short, it carries a strong impact. Every song offers a different experience, and Kashflow considers it one of his proudest releases to date.
He also gives credit to the producers who have helped bring his vision to life. Since 2020, TurnmeupChrizzy and SebbyKrazy have been trusted collaborators, providing the soundtrack behind many of his records. What started as a working relationship has grown into something much deeper, becoming a family bond built through years of creating together.
