Born and raised in Houston, Enzo Mcfly’s connection to music started long before he ever considered it a career. His childhood was shaped by movement, family and an environment where music was always close.
During his younger years, Enzo moved around, spending a year in New York at 13, living in Los Angeles, and eventually returning to Houston, where he spent time in the Fifth Ward. Moving frequently during his middle school years forced him to adjust to new surroundings and learn how to stand on his own. Looking back, Enzo believes those experiences helped build the independence he carries with him today.
Music was never something distant in his household. His mother worked in the entertainment industry, giving Enzo an early look inside recording studios and the business behind the music. His grandmother and other family members also played a role in shaping his musical ear. He grew up surrounded by different sounds, making music feel less like something he discovered and more like something that had always been part of his life.
At first, Enzo treated writing as a hobby. His mother encouraged him to write every day, helping him develop the discipline that would eventually become an important part of his artistry. What started with putting thoughts on paper gradually turned into something bigger.
By 2016, Enzo began taking music seriously as a professional pursuit, leading to his first official project in 2017. Along the way, his influences helped shape the way he approached his own writing. He was especially drawn to Kanye West’s early work, including The College Dropout and Graduation. Enzo connected with Kanye’s ability to speak about knowledge, ambition and success without following the traditional path. Those ideas became part of Enzo’s own approach to music and the message behind his lyrics.
His journey, however, has never been limited to being an artist. Enzo built experience through DJing, booking concerts and working behind the scenes, eventually connecting with organizations such as DSD1 and 1501. His career has also put him in rooms with artists including Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Baby, giving him a broader understanding of both the creative and business sides of the industry.
Over time, Enzo’s mindset began to change. He stopped looking at himself simply as an artist and started thinking more like an independent CEO. For him, building the right team, staying humble and understanding the business became just as important as making music. He believes artists have to create their own opportunities instead of becoming too focused on clout or waiting for a traditional record deal to validate them.
That mindset also connects to something bigger for Enzo: legacy.
Growing up in Houston, he understands the importance of the people who helped shape the culture before him. Icons like DJ Screw represent more than music to him. They represent influence, identity and the importance of leaving something behind that can continue to inspire the next generation. Enzo wants his own journey to stand for more than personal success. He wants the example he sets to matter.
Today, Enzo Mcfly is focused on consistency, growth and building toward his future as a young mogul. He plans to keep releasing music, creating content and expanding his work while continuing to develop his own lane.
Songs such as “That’s a Bet,” “Want It All,” “You Got It” and “Fold On Me” have helped tell different parts of his story along the way. Now, he continues that journey with his latest release, “Long Live Mac,” currently available on all streaming platforms.
